the dust settles on another empty soundstage. i am, once again, forever grateful for another eternity captured on camera.

i send my deepest thanks to francis lawrence (director of lady gaga’s bad romance music video and some other stuff too) for trusting me with lucy gray baird. and for approaching every ounce of anxiety i had about taking on the role with grace and understanding.

and (along with francis) to nina jacobsen, cam macconomy, and greg capoccia for fostering such a beautiful and welcoming set environment for so many young people who were just (!) so (!!) stoked (!!!) to be there.

thank you mika saito for taking such good care of the two goobers (and literally everyone else) in the first photo as we navigated living in new countries together. and for helping me out exponentially that one time i got really bad food poisoning in poland. (this press tour is gonna be fun!)

to latisha khors, who had the unbelievable task of taking care of all three of us (sometimes at once), thank you for never being annoyed with my bacon requests and constant need for water. and thank you for going the extra mile and then some. it could never go unappreciated.

chris surgent, takahide kawakami, ben bischof, meret wagner, vera schmidt — thank you for greeting us each day with warm smiles and understanding as we crankily walked to our trailers at 4am.

sherry laurence and nikki gooley — thank you for maintaining the dirt and the sweat and the hair and the face and the gross fingernails and everything in between. you are the real rockstars.

jo willems and dave thompson — thank you for having patience with a humble beginner who is only on her fourth film and still, for whatever reason, doesn’t know left from right. (and thank you, dave, for this hilarious eye line drawing of coral on slide #7).
